Hwang In-ho

Winner of the 28th Squid Game and current Front Man who oversees the entire game. He was an excellent police officer but joined the game to save his wife. As Front Man, he monitors the game through screens and is ruthless to staff who violate rules. In the 36th game, he participates under the alias 'Oh Young-il' to monitor Seong Gi-hun.

Biography

Hwang In-ho was an excellent police officer with a half-brother, Hwang Jun-ho, to whom he had donated a kidney. His pregnant wife was diagnosed with liver cancer, forcing a choice between terminating the pregnancy to save her life or continuing it with the risk of death. He borrowed money from a criminal to fund the surgery but was dismissed under suspicion of taking bribes. In desperation, he participated in the 28th Squid Game and won, but it was too late - his wife had died. He later accepted Oh Il-nam's offer to become the Front Man.
